Tiburon Golf Course, Naples FL
Project One Vet @ A Time (POVAT), Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF), Seals Veteran Foundation (SVF), and Heart of a Lion – John Daly and Major Ed Foundation (JDME), hosted the Happy Gilmore 25th Anniversary Veteran Charity Dinner and Golf Outing event last week from April 30th-May 1st. This two-day event took place at Tiburon Country Club in Naples Florida and had over 250 guests for the Veteran Charity Dinner and over 130 guests for the golf outing. This fantastic turnout led the Team to raise $350,000 for the entire weekend. The donations made from their generous donors and sponsors will be used towards each of the Veteran Non Profit’s missions of providing support to Veterans and their families.
On the first day of the two-day Veteran Charity Event, guests enjoyed live music performances along with an ultimate BBQ dinner. The following day, guests who signed up to golf enjoyed Tiburon Golf Club’s stunning Gold Course. Both events had guest celebrities present. Just to highlight a few: Chris McDonald “Shooter McGavin,” Roger “Rocket” Clemons, Jim Kelly, Tico Torres, Jonathon Cain, Tommy John, Rick Cerone, Mark Lye, and Brent Sopel. Each guest celebrity made an appearance as well as Special Operations Service Members and various Veterans. POVAT was honored to host Jim and Carol West, their visiting Gold Star Family from Texas.

The Patriot Fund and POVAT both focus on receiving donations from their generous donors and using these funds to support the Veteran community and their families. POVAT is one of The Patriot Fund’s organizational partners and we are proud to work alongside them daily. These charitable actions cannot be made possible without the help from our supporters and your donation!
