Our Heroes Deserve the Best Support Possible
After returning home from deployment, many Veterans deal with the difficult transition to civilian life in one way or another. Experiencing a traumatic event and/or being seriously injured can make transition even more challenging and can lead Veterans to suffer from PTSD as a result of war. Millions of Americans carry the burden of war as spouses, parents, children, and friends. For these individuals, coping with their loved ones’ absence, mourning their deaths, or greeting the changed person who often returns can be extremely difficult. Our Veterans and their families should not have to deal with the effects of war in their daily lives. The Patriot Fund strives to be the much needed foundation for our troops and their families to help smooth over the transition into normal life once again.
We March for Dollars for our Heroes
It is evident by our growth that Americans want to help our Veterans and their families regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation. The Patriot Fund is dedicated to being a vehicle for that support for our heroes!
We also believe our fellow Americans want to know how their contributions make a difference, so many are often life-changing. We are committed to keep our donors informed as our Proof of Performance by sharing with our network the direct impact of their gifts. We partner with Veteran-centric non-profit organizations who are making a substantial impact in the lives of Veterans and their families.
Because of our success for delivering our Promise of Brand, we are now expanding into additional markets to help service the needs of those Veterans such as in the state of Florida and Maryland. An added value for our non-profit partners is the connection we facilitate between them and our generous donor base.
Connecting Our Military Veterans and Their Families to Patriots Who Can Help
At The Patriot Fund, we serve our nation by honoring military Veterans and their families. We do this by hosting fundraising events designed to inspire and educate the community about the needs of our local Veterans. The Patriot Fund does the work to find reputable charities that passionately deliver immediate and long-lasting impact for your local Veteran community. It is with your participation and donation that we make this possible.
“Everyone on the Board is inspired by The Patriot Fund’s mission and we collectively strive to help Veterans in the most impactful way that we can – because they deserve it and we truly care to help.” – Pete Musumeci
How The Patriot Fund Came to Be
Plans for the organization began in 2014 when Todd Sherman and Major General (Ret) Steven Hashem decided to take action on their shared interest in supporting the brave service members who protect and defend our great country. Major General Hashem served in the U.S. Army for 41 years. Growing up, Todd planned to serve in the military, but was unable to fulfill his lifelong dream due to a medical condition and longed for a way to serve. Both have seen firsthand what the effects of war can be on local Veterans and their families. After The Patriot Fund’s successful “seed event” in 2015, they decided to make a commitment by creating The Patriot Invitational in 2016. The event raised over $100,000 in its first year and the rest is history.
