Check out our Event last month at Chickie’s & Pete’s South Philly to see an American Flag presentation that was handcrafted! This handmade 6’ x 3’ American Flag was given to the restaurant at no cost to honor Pete’s uncle, George, who served in the Military and to honor George who is a Silver Star Recipient. Board Member Command Chief Master Sgt. US Air Force (Ret) Will Markham, who is also a Silver Star Recipient, built this wooden flag from start to finish.
This American Flag took roughly 80 hours to build, design, and finish. Will creates these alone and Will says that making these works of art gives him “A chance to give back to our community leaders in a patriotic way.” Thank you Whitney Ullman for capturing this special moment!
