Project Refit provides retreat opportunities for small groups of Veterans to getaway to a location in the United States and provide a great healing and bonding experience with near ZERO stress. The organization strives to keep the group small and intimate to create lasting relationships and connections.
The Patriot Fund’s donations have proudly helped Project Refit host fifteen Veterans this past Summer for a weeklong retreat at Stillwater Ranch in Loveland Colorado. This free getaway enabled veterans the opportunity to heal and bond with others in their situation. Two of the Veterans shared their personal experience of their stay at the Ranch. One spoke of how he was able to learn more about himself than he had before, and bond tremendously with nature, friends and himself. Another spoke that the opportunity at the Ranch truly allowed him to open up to others about his own personal experiences like never before. Specifically, the fireside chats at night allowed him to make deep connections with others and heal his emotions. The Patriot Fund is proud to be able to support Project Refit to help Veterans heal with a community they cherish.
