The Patriot Fund Kicks off R.E.D. Fridays!

At The Patriot Fund, we serve our nation by honoring our military Veterans and their families by hosting fundraising events designed to educate and inspire the community about the needs of our local Vets. To show continued support of our mission, we are celebrating Remember Everyone Deployed (R.E.D.) Friday each week to show the military community and their families that they are never forgotten and will always be remembered.

Remember Everyone Deployed (R.E.D.) was created with the motto of “MAKE MILITARY LIFE EASIER” while showing solidarity and support for our deployed service members and their families until they return home (remembereveryonedeployed.com). This message is carried to national levels and by honoring military Veterans, the military community, and military families as a whole, R.E.D. Friday is just another way we, at The Patriot Fund, are participating in showing our devotion and honor to these individuals.

Mike Francisco, Secretary of The Patriot Fund and lead Chair at the Annual Patriot Invitational, has been dedicated to giving back to those who sacrifice so much to protect our freedom. When it comes to recognizing our American heroes and being charitable to them as a way to say “Thank You”, Mike’s patriotism is something we can all admire and strive to replicate.

R.E.D. Fridays are honored by wearing the color red as a physical symbol of support for our deployed service members and their families until they return home once again. He understands that freedom isn’t free and it is something that is worked for every day. When asked what Remember Everyone Deployed means to him, Mike stated, “It means we are present in thinking about the sacrifices of the current men and women in our Armed Forces! These sacrifices are substantial and are NOT taken for granted.”

Mike hopes R.E.D. Friday will bring further awareness to the sacrifices and potential hardships our current military and Veteran community may face. He knows there are things we can do to help and through The Patriot Fund, conversations can be facilitated about how to execute unique ideas: How can we help our Veterans, and ultimately, who can we help? Mike says, “I think showing solidarity through R.E.D. Friday and The Patriot Fund are great examples of ways we, as Americans, can do our part.”

Each Friday, The Patriot Fund will highlight one of its current board members and how that individual is celebrating R.E.D. Fridays, what this means to them, and how The Patriot Fund is consistently Remembering Everyone Deployed. Stay tuned next week for more R.E.D. Friday highlights on social media and a closer look at our board members!
